Flash of Motherhood Journey

Hello readers,

As I mentioned, in my previous blog, how unplanned my pregnancy was and how unprepared I was. Today, I will be sharing how the nine months of my pregnancy passed away in a flash of a second but were painful. I was told the bedrest for the first 3 months :(, which was next to impossible for a person like me who’s always into something working out. Thankfully, all the love and care I got from my husband and my family, those 3 months got reduced to 2 when my doc said now you are completely fine with all hormones and blood tests reports being normal. One week after that announcement from my gynae, I was hospitalised midnight for an infection. Phew… gynaecologists are very strict and rude at times. She scolded me and asked me to get admitted to the hospital for a full check-up. However, I didn’t want to coz hospitals scare the hell out of me. So after all the discussions she let me go home.

Start of the second trimester and I find myself in the hospital again. This time I fainted… Low blood pressure, low sugar and a lot of stress (being pregnant is not easy). My family stood by my side and took complete care of me. My partner in crime made sure I eat healthy and stay fit. So he took charge of my diet and day’s plan of action. OMG… I felt like the princess of this world… I was on cloud nine.

Finally the third trimester started, and I am again in hospital. This time for the premature delivery doubt. I pulled a bucket full of water in the night and the morning was full of pain. But this time, it was more scary. Doctors thought I was having early labour pains and might need to go for operation. Everyone got panic attacks, including me. But all went good and I was discharged with a precautionary note of no weight lifting. 🙂

Comes the day of the baby shower, and I am all excited to be the centre of attraction. Hey, but hang on, it’s not me… all the attention was grabbed by my lil one who is yet come. Those blessings, those prayers are the best of the journey. Now was the time to pack my hospital bag along with my kiddo’s stuff.

Finally the day came. We rushed to the hospital. With everything in place, I delivered a girl child in the evening and my world changed forever.

Love,

Wonder Mom
