My Daughter’s Festive Gift Hamper Idea

Every once in a while, our children surprise us in the most heart-warming ways. Recently, my 6.5-year-old daughter came up with an idea that left me smiling for days. With the festive season around the corner and our home buzzing with colours, crafts, and the scent of candles, she decided she wanted to create something of her own—something people could gift and enjoy.

Her idea? Festive Gift Hampers! But these aren’t just any hampers. They come straight from the heart (and hands) of a little girl with big dreams.

Each hamper would include:

  • Her hand-painted coasters – little works of art made with bright colours, childlike imagination, and a whole lot of love.
  • Her handmade candles – sweet-smelling, cozy creations she enjoys making with me on weekend afternoons.
  • A touch of tradition with dry fruits – beautifully packed to add a festive, wholesome touch.

What I love most about this idea isn’t just the creativity—it’s the intent. She’s thinking about what makes people smile, what feels warm and personal during the holidays, and how she can put her own little hands to work to bring that to life.

We’ve started working on small batches together, and watching her pour herself into painting coasters or carefully choosing candle scents has been a joy I can’t put into words. She talks about how the colours should make someone happy, or how the candles should “smell like festivals.”

More than just a project, this has become a beautiful way for us to bond, create, and learn together. She’s already asking how can she expand her Brand KRSA CREATIONS and if she can get a website for all her products for people to easily place order.

So if you’re looking for something heartfelt, handmade, and one-of-a-kind this festive season, you might just want to check out my daughter’s little hampers. Who knows—maybe you’re supporting the start of a future entrepreneur’s journey.

And to my little girl: Your imagination, kindness, and creativity inspire me more than you know. Keep dreaming, and keep making the world a little brighter—with paint, wax, and love.
